The Gerald Peters Jewelry Store marks the creation of a new destination for elegance and precision on Staten Island, New York. Studio Tonic developed a concept that bridges the existing and the new, defined by attention to detail, technical sophistication, and artisanal excellence. The project was realized in collaboration with partner firm Obrist interior.

Concept & design

Studio Tonic oversaw the holistic design process, from conceptual development and interior design to technical planning. The goal was to preserve and reinterpret key elements of the existing architecture: the high ceiling enhanced with additional lighting, as well as the distinctive wall patterns and the bar. The result is a space that feels bright, airy, and subtly luxurious.

Materials & atmosphere

Refined materials define the atmosphere: gold-lacquered surfaces, dark-stained oak, fine textiles and carpets, and expressive stone. A harmonious composition that balances elegance and warmth, showcasing the jewelry and watch collections in their best light. The presentation spans approximately 400 m² and 70 showcases.

The spatial layout unfolds across two levels:

Ground Floor: Presentation of jewelry collections and renowned watch brands, complemented by a stylish lounge and bar.

Lower Level: An exclusive bridal area featuring an architectural centerpiece, a semi-circular stone counter.

Implementation & realization

The realization was carried out in close collaboration with Obrist interior, responsible for construction, production, logistics, and installation. The outcome is a sophisticated multibrand store that unites aesthetics, functionality, and brand presence at the highest level – timeless, elegant, and enduring.
